I was born and raised in a small farm community in southwestern Kansas. It was a quiet existence. I moved to Topeka, KS in 2002 to attend college. My wife, my children and I live, work and study in Topeka.
After college I worked for almost three years at a local community mental health center. During that time I enlisted in the military, primarily for financial reasons, but after “basic” and AIT I grew to enjoy the military experience.
This blog grew out of my desire to document my experiences with the military, however, it has become an outlet for me to celebrate self-actualization, my family and my community.
I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures as much as I enjoyed having them.
