As I resolved to do this year, I’ve been doing a great job of logging my online inspiration. So, it’s about time I shared. I’ve dug deep into my starred, favorited and liked websites to pull a few awesome DIY projects. My hope is you are inspired to build something unique and special that you can call your own.
Recycle Newspaper into Logs for your Fire
I don’t know anyone who has a hardcopy of any newspaper delivered to their house anymore, but it’s apparent that several of you still do. Why else would the paper recycling bin always be filled with newspaper? You can find step by step instructions for this project at Instructables.com.
Keyholder / Coat Rack
This one is so “duh” I was kinda angry that I didn’t think of it. No thorough instructions for this one, but shouldn’t take a genius to find instructions for the installation of a deadbolt mechanism and door knob. Google is a DIYers best friend. You can find “after” photos of a completed project (also my inspiration) at Designsponge.com.
Hot Pot Spots
Yet another project idea from Designsponge.com (check it out if you haven’t already). As the garage/estate sale season is beginning, shouldn’t be too difficult to find some old-school stove top trivets to upcycle as cooling racks. Clean them off and coat with some heat resistant paint and voila!
